Dennis Lambert

First of all, right now I'm listening to Harry Nilsson's song "Remember" ... one of the most beautiful songs of all time. Check him out.

Now ... last week was the Atlantic Film Festival here in Halifax. I saw lots of great movies, but the one that stuck with me the most was one called "Of All The Things". It's subject is American songwriter Dennis Lambert, and it was directed by his son Jody. Dennis was a very successful songwriter in the 60s and 70s - a wunderkind. Check him out here:

He's now a real-estate agent in Florida. In 1972 he released his only solo album, which wasn't successful in North America, but it was hugely successful in the Philippines. Over the years, a Philippino promoter had been trying to get Dennis to tour over there, but it finally happened in 2007. And the tour is documented in the film.

Check it out!!
